Welcome to 2015! We listened, danced and sang along to songs played by DJ Daddy to bring in the brand spankin’ New Year. When you’re singing and dancing to songs like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Everything I Do” and iconic artists like Lionel Richie and George Strait, the eve of 2015 becomes a magical family night. How could it not?
Every night, you fight sleep with all your might, sometimes not falling asleep until after midnight. You sat at the kitchen table drawing, fighting like usual to stay awake.
Amazingly, your eyes got heavier...
and you didn’t make it to midnight.
People usually make New Year’s resolutions and I’ve partaken in this tradition in the past. Instead, I’ve made grandiose 2015 plans that are organized in a meticulous monthly and daily calendar. Is this overkill planning? Yes. Does this help your Mommy say “no” to unplanned activities? Yes. Does this keep your Mommy on task? Yes.
As one of my 2015 plans, I’m going to write letters to my beautiful, creative and intelligent daughter, Abigail. I will share important, familial, comical and any other relevant stories (aka motherly advice) that goes to the wayside in the daily “busyness” of our lives.
Enjoy your “early years” memoir on this blog.
Love you dearly,
P.S. Abigail, if you wish to see how your Mommy's photography career develops in parallel to raising you, please hop on over to A little Bit Country Studio's website.
